Anyone try using 3f in 45-60 with longer bullets like the 340gr lee or the 400gr.?

Not exactly, but I am using it in my .45-75 which, with a 350gr bullet and Bertram brass will only accept 60gr, so in a way, I guess I sorta am. ;D

Reason I am using it is I had a bunch on hand for my muzzle loaders and no 2f around the place. Still working up my loads so can't tell you anything super useful, but at least the gun hasn't blown up and I am getting tolerable accuracy so far. Black powder is hard to come up with around these parts, but when I find some I will try the 2f.

Can't say much more at this point, but if you have any specifics I may be able to help you with, shout out!

It should work fine. Try swiss or KIK, much cleaner burning. You won't get alot of BP under that big bullet though....
