Four-Eyed Buck

My SIL's beau has one of these and they have asked me to find out about it. It's in .25ACP, and according to Colt was made in 1911. Anybody have any experience with these? Will modern .25ACP be safe in it? ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Modern .25ACP will be just fine.

Don't expect a whole helluva lot of 'distance' accuracy, because the sights are basically a trough - but close-range accuracy is good - and outside of the cost of the ammunition, they're fun to shoot.

Thanks,St. George. My biggest problem is that I have no experience with auto loaders ::)
