What seems to be the best bullet diam for a Uberti 73'Win in 44WFC ?

and,,,can you shoot black powder with A-LOX bullet lube ?

I can't tell you which is the best, but my Uberti 1873 barrel is .429 dia.  I cast and size my bullets to .430 and that size works well for me.

I have never used A-LOX with black powder so I can't comment if it would work.

I would not use Alox with BP, I think it would get a little sticky in yer barrel. WM

You can, BUT accuracy will go out the window in short order.  It is far better to use lubes developed specifically for use with b.p.

Alox will work aok with the b.p. subs (Pyrodex, 777...)

Hi!

My Uberti 73 Winchester bore is 428. I used to size my bullets to 429 but they are hard to chamber (pushes out the neck of the case), and did not get the accuracy I was looking for. I went down to 427, and voila it worked. Hole-in-hole accuracy at 50 meters.

I know it is not logic, but it works...
