I think we need to get off of the "taking away our guns" rhetoric and move to the "taking away our freedoms" rational. To the Starbucks, croissant and New York Times crowd the former makes us sound like a bunch of Bible thumping, toothless, bib overhaul wearing gator hunters - not that there is anything wrong with that. But we need to up the philosophical content of our speech.

To the uninformed guns = dummies, that is the not so subtle message generally purveyed by the media. If we characterize this as a freedom grab, a limiting of natural law that we are all granted not by government but by right of birth we may elevate our rhetorical position, move the argument to rights and not assault weapons. That is what the other side does, muddy the waters of discussion, it should work for us.

Remember the guy's who despise the 2nd amendment are not to fond of the 1st (hate speech being when you disagree with me) and the 10th (can't trust a bunch of bubba's to make laws we don't like).

This stuff is incremental, and I fear we are going to lose the first round.

Good link to Ruger.

My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

My wife and I did it, I wrote down Ruger.com and gave it to several people at work, and they are going to pass it on to their
hunting friends. When my wife did it was at a half million  good  but it needs to be at 50 million!!!!!!
