Cuts Crooked

I was recently given a Stevens 311 16 gauge SxS, made by Savage. I'd like to replace the butt stock. Brownellls has walnut stock replacements for the 311 in 12 gauge.

My question is, does anyone here know if the 311 in 16 gauge uses the same frame as the 311 in 12, or is it based on the 20 Gauge frame?

Call them and ask, it seems to me all the frames were their own size.

Whoa Pard! There are seven different stock configurations for the various iterations of the 311. Some of these, in fact most of these are not interchangeable. A good place to start looking is here. http://macongunstocks.net/stevens_springfield_gunstock_2_piece_sets_69.html .
