A challenge for you

Been watching a lot of High Chaparral lately. Really think Henry Darrow's (Manolito) holster is cool. Looks like it has a brass piece on the throat opening.
Now, I know you can buy small sheets of brass at hardware stores. How do you get it to stay on the holster...?
Anyone up or the challenge of recreating it?

I did a custom holster years ago for a double barreled percussion pistol.  It had a brass reinforced throat and a wood toe plug, with a brass "ring" around the toe.  The throat brass was riveted to the outer layer of leather, and covered by the lining.  The toe brass was nailed through the leather into the wood toe plug with brass nails.

Interesting info, fellas. Sorry, the web can't seem to attract any larger photos of it. On the television I can't tell if it is riveted on. However riveting seems the most likely candidate.

I might give this one a try for grins.

It appears to be one of Andy Andersons' swivel rigs (see the link posted by Red Cent above) with the added brass wrap - holsters is lined so probably pinned/riveted so the back of the rivet is between the layers

Here is a drawing of Andy Andersons swivel holster say's it is two thicknesses of leather and apears that the holster is attached to the belt with the swivel.
