1st DC Henry

I got to handle a 1st DC Henry at the Charleston show this weekend! I know the dealer and he throws me a bone once in a while. Wow, that was neat! Nice cartouche and inspection marks. In the 3K SN range. I wonder if it was one of the rifles captured by the 35th Va. Cav. near Fredricksburg, Va. It was in good shape, consistent with spending the last year of the war in the Richmond Armory when the ammo ran out. Had the cleaning kit too! A steal at $44K. (Actually, it probably is!)
