Aloha from Pearl Harbor!

My question is how the next barrel on the Cimarron 1881 w/single trigger is selected.  Is it mechanical or done by inertia?

Thank you.

It is mechanical.  The guns look good, various barrel lengths, and include choke tubes.  But for CAS use, they are very stiff to open and definitely need an action job.

I have had bad luck with single trigger SxS shotguns. Two I own tend to set off both barrels at the same time.  :o

Thank you for the information.  I'm just starting out in the SASS world...Until now I have been using an old Remington (1920 or so) that was my Grandfathers but it's hard to open and the hulls stick.  I don't want to mess around with this gun because of the sentimental value so I'm looking at a dedicated CAS shotgun.  I'm a lefty so I thought I would stick with the S X S.  Any other recommendations?

The single trigger/double barreled shotguns that have owned have all selected the first barrel to shoot by sliding the safety either right or left. Then you can set the safety by sliding it forward and backward. It's the ejectors (not allowed in SASS) that are inertialy operated so that if you only fire one barrel, only the fired hull will be ejected.
I will no longer respond to the rants of the small minded that want to sling mud rather than discuss in an adult manner.
