I have a pair of Bisley New Model Vaqueros in which i want to change the main spring.  I have the springs and along with them came some trigger springs.  Do I, when I change the main springs, also have to knock the pin out that holds the trigger springs?  Just wondering as it looks like the main spring will not come out otherwise.  Hope my question makes sense.  By the way it is the Wolff spring kit.

The trigger spring has nothing to do with getting the mainspring out.  To get the mainspring out you have to remove the grip frame.  Once that is removed you can also change the trigger spring.  Some will tell you that you can change the main spring without removing the grip frame.  If you do this you stand a very high chance of bending the strut.  The only way to do the job properly is to remove the grip frame.

I went and did it myself anyway.  The mainsprings came out fairly easily and I did not bend the struts.  While I was in there I also changed the trigger springs.  All in all it was a fairly easy job for me.

+1 on removing the gripframe. Best way to not bend the strut. It is possible to get it out but requires force with the frame in place
