Beautiful work Freedom!  You can sure be proud of 'em!  That saddle is fit fer a "Cadillac Horse"!  I love the bags as well . . . what can be said other than "WOW!".  Thanks for sharing . . . . a lot of work I'm sure but the results were certainly worth it!  Thanks for sharing!

This is a very nice piece of work in my opinion. I like the barbed wire stamping also. I ordered a tree and some leather for a saddle a few years back and before I got started on it the damn rats had started eating the rawhide off the tree. So i got busy killing rats. There was no way I could even think about keeping a rawhide bosal. That was another reason to move from East to West Texas. There is still rats and mice here but they are a whole lot easier to control here than there. That's a real fine looking saddle.
Swinging a rope is alot of fun unless, your neck is in the loop.

Thank you guys!!! ;D I sure do appreciate all of your compliments!. The saddle turned out so symmetrical that I was very proud of it...Getting both sides to come out the exact same is the greatest challenge.

Padded Inlaid Seats are the very scairy part... First you get your heavy seat leather formed and fitting just right. Then you take a knife and cut a huge hole right in the center of your seat :P Then try to fit a pad, to the hole and cover it in a way that it keeps it's shape and and sew it in...all without any wrinkles.

The ear cuts, where the seat meets the cheyenne roll is tricky to get fitting tight and smooth...this is very easy to screw this cut up and leave a big gap.

Sewing the cheyenne roll is quite an education in hand sewing...and running your awll...5 layers of heavy leather and you have to come out the back in the fold line.

Thanks guys!!!! :) :)
