Cimarron custom nickel.....very long wait???

Howdy,

I ordered a custom nickel job (through my dealer from Cimarron) on a new Mod P that I was told was in stock at Cimarron. This was in Febr. '12. Assuming the gun really was in stock, why would it be taking so long to get the nickel application finished?
My dealer (Ultona) says that Cimarons story is that there was some sort of illness with their sub-contractor who does this nickeling.

Can anyone verify this?

finally got notified from my dealer that my nickeled Mod P had shown up, and picked it up today........nine month wait.

I wonder why Abilene didn't chime in (he has connections to Cimarron)?
