I got a Winchester 94 in 45 Colt. It only holds 9 rounds in the magazine. Is there any way to get a 10th round all the way in the tube?

Sounds like it must be a trapper model, regular carbines will hold ten no problem.  Only way to get ten in a trapper is to use Schofield brass.

I have had it for about 10 years so I don't remember what model it is but it is short.

You could fit 10 if you used .45 S&W rounds.  I can do that in my .45 Colt Uberti Henry carbine and it cycles them ok.

Ive never tried to cycle such round in a 94.  You might try to load and cycle with some .45 S&W snap caps first.
