Hi Guys
Here's some photos of the Colt Walker flap holster iv'e just finished, it's from the book Guns of the American west By Dennis Adler
i found it hard to find a match for the fancy rivet but got something similar from Tandy.
After asking on the forum i decided to fasten the flap by passing the strap through a loop of leather under the flap this seems to be the way it would have been done.
Anyway hope you all like it

have fun

Like it, I LOVE IT and yours has a much nicer main seam contour than does the one in the photo.  The traditional concave roll you added between the throat and the rammer swell sets it apart from most of the Walker holster patterns I have seen.  HMMM now to see if I can blow that photo up large enuff to copy your lines!   ;D

Oh, yeah, that's a nice one! Good job!
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.

Hi Boothill
It was going to be an inlay but i had some trouble getting the edges to look right when the leather was bent, so ended up carving.

the star on the holster in the book is flush with the holster leather rather than sunk below so im not 100% sure if the one in the book is an inlay, if it is i would love to know how it was done

many thanks
john
