I've got a chance to acquire a consecutively numbered pair of unfired Uberti R/M '51 Navy conversions. Nice Guns! Don't 'need 'em' so much as like 'em.

Are these guns strictly for BP or can they handle light smokeless loads?

I like my Uberti 51 navy conversion. Smooth and no glitches and a super shooter. All I have shot is black, but I wouldn't hesitate to shoot smokeless.

You can shoot smokeless in them all day long.  I shoot a pair as main match guns constantly.  You will want/need to correct the fit of the barrel/arbor and run a mite lighter main spring.  They make great CAS pistols!!!
