Sheriff Andy taught Opie, and us, to do what was right whether it made you feel good or not.  Don't lie, and always stand up for what is right.  Too bad he's gone.  He will be missed.

A show like his wouldn't last two weeks today.

I loved that guy.  I never saw him in a role I didn't like and just started watching The Andy griffith Show series again on DVD about three weeks ago.

Watched him in a 2009 movie a few weeks ago. If you haven't seen Play The Game, get a copy.  When he was with the redhead I laughed so hard I thought I was gonna choke.  I think it was his last movie.

I'll miss him a lot.

RIP Andy

When my mom married my step dad, she brought records by Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy to the marriage. My stepdad brought 45s of Andy doing Football and Romeo and Juilet. I found a cd of it and gave it to him on his last birthday...he laffed til he cried.

Yet another Icon is called home to Jesus.  I didn't care for Matlock but to this day, despite having seen them scores of times, episodes of the Andy Griffith show still crack me up.  He will be sorely missed by millions.
