On the 5th Saturday of a month, which happens 4 times/year, the Texas Peacemakers host the Texas Plainsman Match.  We shoot main match pistols and shotguns, but use a long range rifle.  There are only two categories - Black Powder and Smokeless.  The long range rifle can be single shot or lever loaded singly, and must be 38-55 or bigger.  Rifle targets are set at 75-125 yards.  There typically 5 stages, with 10 pistol, are 4 rifle and 4 shotgun shots per stage.  Always a good idea to bring a little extra ammo.

A map to the range can be found here:

Hope to see y'all here.  This might be a good time to work out my Winchester 1885 in 50-90... :P

Thanks, Pancho, for suggesting I post this.

It was also a good chance for me to use mi Winchester 1885 in 50-90. Those targets really jump and clang when  540 gr 50 cal hits them.   :o
