Lost Doug this week....read that he went to Earls house and asked for a set of Scruggs tuners. Earl sold them to him and installed them his own self....

After losing Earl Scruggs, it is hard to accept that another Bluegrass  banjo pioneer is gone, Doug Dillard.
Earl was the father of all of us 5-string banjo pickers. He was probably the most imitated musician on the planet. Almost all of us wanted and sought to play like Earl. Doug Dillard put his own, unique twist on Bluegrass style playing.
Here is the label on the inside of my banjo that was signed by Earl Scruggs. This banjo stays in my family!
