I have had to defend myself with handguns in Vietnam, as a peace officer back home and as a civilian. I have never gone to Gunsight, but I have read Colonel Cooper's magazine articles and books. What I learned from him has kept me alive in circumstances where I should have died. I don't know what is taught in other places in the world, so I can't comment on that. I will say that I think Colonel Cooper was a brilliant man who did a great deal to instruct and save the lives of many like me. You can denigrate his teachings and his place in the history of self defense, but you are definitely well off base, if not completely delusional. I had personal relationships with Elmer Keith, Charles "Skeeter" Skelton and Bill Jordan among others; and all held Colonel Cooper in the very highest regard. You seem to have some sort of grudge against Colonel Cooper, and I feel sorry for those like you who do not have my age and experience to ground you in reality. I hope you can get around this before you run into a lethal situation where Colonel Cooper's teachings may mean the difference between life and death. Good luck. With your attitude, you will need it. ;D
