They didn't want the horses and mules to trample their trails, but they allow ATV's ? More californication!
I will no longer respond to the rants of the small minded that want to sling mud rather than discuss in an adult manner.

Yay!! Finally some "constructive legislation" done! The Sierra Nevada side of Mt. Whitney has seen this in-fighting for at least 20yrs already with the regualtions. Knew a guy who operated a pack-string out of Lone Pine & Bishop. Haven't talked to him in 9 or 10 yrs and wonder if he's still around. :-\

They have the Jack ass mail run here every year before the Springville rodeo,but i didn't hear a thing about it this year.Of course there were folks trying to get rid of it a couple years ago for some stupid reason..

Yup...always Memorial Weekend...can already smell Schatz bakery's bread..I'm about 4 hrs north of Bishop

In many years past I knew and worked with people who lived for the Mule days, and would travel great distances to be there. Worked with others from that area also, who would migrate in the nicer weather to the north.
