I watched the movie "Chisum" last night for the first time. Was John Chisum involved in the Lincoln County War?

He was but not as promenent as the movie shows. He didnt live in Lincoln his ranch was just outside Roswell, quite aways from Lincoln. There are some great books out there. We were in Lincoln and Roiswell last summer. What a great area!
