I picked up this Uberti/Cimarron 1873 "Short Rifle" yesterday. It is a .45 Colt and has a 20" octagon barrel. The action is very smooth, but the trigger will need some work to lighten it up a little.

I took it out the range this morning and I was ringing the steel plate at 100 yards with it right out of the box!

Beautiful rifle and Welcome aboard .

Capt. Jack McQuesten

Thanks!

I have got to say, whoever is running the shop over at Uberti sure knows what they are doing. The fit and finish of this rifle is absolutely beautiful!

Nice rifle Capt.

You will love it.

I can say the same about uberti's fit and finish. I have a 66 and 73 and they are both great.

Capt. Jack McQuesten

Thanks!

Once I get the trigger worked on, I am planning on getting some new (more visible) sights. I tend to lose the black front sight on the steel plates and the buckhorn rear sight does cover up the targets a bit too.....
