Update on Ima's Deployment

Well, I talked to my wife tonight. She left yesterday for Jackson, MS. Made it there yesterday, and went to Meridian, MS today. Her team is being sent down to Gulfport, MS tomorrow at 8 am. THe cell reception was bad tonight, and it is supposed to be non existant down in Gulfport. I don't know when we'll hear from her next, or what the conditions are going to be like down there. THough chances are it is not going to be pretty. We appreciate all the e-mail and kind words that you Pards have sent. I just wanted to keep my extended CAS family informed.

It'll be bad, Jax. The power crews have been working pretty hard down there, don't know about cell towers though. Gulfport was hit pretty hard..........Buck

Will keep her, and you in our thoughts, Jax. Question: in the PHS, is she hooked up with a field hospital sort of set up, or ?? ??

Last year when she was deployed for Ivan, she was based out of a hospital, this time......probably not. It will probably be a field hospital of some sort. She didn't have a lot of details when I talked to her. You know the Government, you just go where you're told. Then figure out how you're going to get your job done when you get there.

Buck, she is at a highschool gym that has been set up for evacuees. Half is sleeping area and the other half is set up as a field hosp. She is supposed to be there for a few days, then they may move them again. She has cell service, so we have been able to keep in contact.
