Why are cowboys so bad at math?

If there are 5 flies in your kitchen,  how can you tell which one is a cowboy?

He's the one on the range.

Okay, okay,

It looks like the perfect time to use that old cowboy joke.

The cowboy says;
"If there three cowboys in a pickup truck, and they are dressed and act exactly alike, how do you know which is the real cowboy?"

The City Slicker says; "Well, I don't rightly know ... there is just no way to tell ..."

The cowboy replied,
Oh yes there is! He's the guy sittin' in the middle ... that way, he don't have to drive and he don't have to get out of the truck to open gates ..."

TTFN,
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

The young fellow was visiting a ranch for the first time.  He wandered down to the corrall and saw a cowboy leaning on a fence rail rolling a cigarette.  Out of curiosity he speaks to the cowboy;

I understand the big hat. Jeans, vests and snaps on the shirt seem useful. And I see the use of those leather chaps.

But why are you wearing sneakers ???

Well, son, that's so I don't get mistaken for a Trucker :D

I used to live in Merritt, a small town 1-1/2 hours south of Kamloops in the Nicola Valley. It was surrounded by several major ranches (Nicola Ranch, Quilchena Ranch, Douglas Lake Ranch, Guichon Ranch, etc.) and numerous 'small' (500 to 1000 acres) operations.

You could spot the 'real' Cowboys 50 yds away by the way they walked and closer up, by the creases in their hats and the horse and cow dung on their boots. And that was just the girls .....
Us 'wanna-be' Cowboys' made sure we weren't on the street when they were in town ..... too embarrassing .....

Around here, the 'stick ranchers' only wear Cowboy hats socially and when going to town, indistinguishable from any other red neck wearing a baseball cap.
