Looks to be "watchable". Sam Sheppard is good. I can handle not being "hysterically coo-rect" when they are well made.

I tried . . . tried, . . recently to watch the beginning of "American Outlaws" . . . . gave up quick on that. YUCK . . .

I watched Blackthorn a couple days ago. Enjoyed it very much, except for one little thing... the brass gripframe on his 7 1/2" SAA

American Outlaws was one movie that I just couldn't stand. I did force myself to watch it and hated it. One of the biggest pile of steamy cow flop I've ever had the misfortune to rent.

This one (Blackthorn) looks good. In fact I bought it on DVD from Best Buy for $17.00. It's that price until Saturday from what I understand. I've yet to watch it but I'm looking forward to it.

One movie that I actually did like though it was a not so period correct one was the movie Texas Rangers. For some reason I just like it. Not a great movie but a pretty fun one to watch. Another one like that is Gunfighters Moon. One of my guilty pleasures I guess.

Been wantin to get Gunfighters Moon for a long time,i always catch it about mid way,never saw the beggining and i like Lance Hindrickson.loved his outfit in the Quick and the Dead.I have an over coat just like Gary Senice wore when they were hangin him,has the badge hole and everything and the guy i got it from sales things from movie sets,he wasn't at his shop when i got it so i can't say for sure,but i bought it becuase i recognised it from the movie,it's like brand new,i have only worn it a couple time just to wear it for a minute.And one thing is you will never find the badge they used in that movie,it is sterling or coin silver and the star tips reach beyond the circle,Been lookin high and low for that one.Anybody see one let me know,then the coat will be complete

Rye, according to Rottentomatoes.com (my go-to site for movie revues), the movie had a limited release to theaters on October 7, and went to DVD on Dec.20. It only had $200,000 in theater revenue (must have been REALLY limited release!) It had thumbs-up from 69% of reviewers and 68% of audience.

Rick, I bought my copy of gun fighters moon off of eBay. You should look there for it. If I remember right I only paid around 4 or 5 dollars for it.

I think actors do that sometimes to fullfill or get out of a contract,just something a read somewhere.That's why Prince the rock dude did all that crazy stuff about calling him the the dude formerly known as Prince,he was giving them hell and wanted his creative license...

That's why i liked the Borders stores they could find it and get them for ya,they closed ours down,i guess ya have to know how to read to have a book store $:-\$

I watched it tonight and thought it was pretty good. I liked the different scenery and a different storyline.

Folks can also watch it on Netflix ... Of course it came out on netflix three or four days after I rented it on DVD.
