Hey Rick,  Guess which one is on monday?

Veterans Day, formerly Armistice Day, is an annual United States holiday honoring armed service veterans. It is a federal holiday that is observed on November 11. It coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. (Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.)

Memorial Day is a federal holiday observed annually in the United States on the last Monday of May.[1] Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the fallen Union soldiers of the Civil War. (Southern ladies organizations and southern schoolchildren had decorated Confederate graves in Richmond and other cities during the Civil War, but each region had its own date. Most dates were in May.) By the 20th century Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died in all wars. Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.[2] As a marker it typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.

That video was still appropriate. God Bless and Keep those who fell, and send Peace to their families and friends. God's healing balm to those healing from wounds, both physical and psychological. Godspeed to those still in harm's way in the defense of Freedom everywhere! Lest we forget... Lest we forget! Amen.
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

Hey fellas, don't get me wrong. I was just poking a little fun at Gun Click for getting the two holidays mixed up. I'm a vetran myself, but this isn't my holiday. Mine will come around again soon enough. This one is for us to remember those that have given all for their country. I am humbled by their sacrifice, I salute tham and I honor their memory.

To all who have fallen and those that will fall, a prayer for my brothers in arms. Though my time of service is over, I still think of them all as brothers and grieve when one falls...

Let's all make this day what it is supposed to be by taking time to remember the men and women who have given the supreme sacrifice for all of us.  The years may pass . .  they should never be forgotten nor what they gave for the rest of us.

Duane . . . . wherever you're at, I know it's a better place . . . and after almost 44 years, know that your sacrifice and the full measure you gave is remembered each single day. "Rest weary soldier . . . thy march is o'er".    KIA July 3, 1968
