I remember reading some one was able to duplicate the Henry balistics using the .45 CS case and a 200 grain RNFP cast lead boolit.  Seems that there are kits out there to modify the cariers of the '60 Henry, '66 Yellowboy and '73 Winchester so that they are able to use the shorter .45CS case in those rifles chambered in .45Colt.

GO ORDNANCE!
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.

The 45 Schofield case worked perfect for a 44 Henry duplication load.  A .452, 200 grain bullet, 28 grains of black powder.  My original Henry rounds are .442 and .444.  .44 special is .429, or .015 undersized, where Schofield is .452 or .007-8 larger.  Closer to original, and no modification necessary to lifter in a Henry.

As long as the bullet is long enough 45 Schofield cartridges work fine in most toggle action rifles. I had a mould made special just so my wife can run 45 Sch in her rifles. Helped to keep her from getting her ammo confused with my 44-40. Some 200 grain bullets run a bit short.

Most of the 200 grainers I tried functioned fine in my Henry rifles I owned.  180s, would not work, though.
