That there are still alot of folks out there who don't seem to know about U.S. Fire Arms.

Once I showed my SAA to a man who buys and sells guns and he said to his buddy, "Hey look at this Ruger".

Do you think USFA is well known ENOUGH?

I would think that gentleman has no business buying and selling guns.

What they are becoming well known for isn't worth repeating.

It is a shame. They had assembled some excellent craftsman and some very loyal customers. I have some pieces from 2005 through 2009 that are absolutely superb in fit and finish. Their grip maker had definitely matured into a great crafstman. I give my hat off to Gary Granger and Peter Rhodes. Peter has become a fantastic engraver, and Gary has always been there to answer questions and handle problems.

Now for the Ruger comment, OMG! Are you kidding me. If you can't tell the difference between a SAA and a Ruger, you better start over with some books and magazines, then just look at them in your hand. Rugers are great guns, but they are not SAAs.

Truth is stranger than fiction they say. But what's stranger to me is that there are others in the gun business who've never even heard of USFA.

I talked to Gary yesterday for 30 min or so, and as always, the most informative and polite person to speak with. He is a real asset to the company.

Was he "most informative" in regards the situation at USFA? If so, what did he say?

Well, he said there are things being planned and USFA is not in demise.

But what I really meant by informative was information he gave on some questions I had about my dual cylinder 44sp/44WCF SAA. I had a couple things I wanted to run by Gary before I got into reloading my 44-40s and using the cylinder. Gary really knows his reloading stuff too.

We talked a bit about the,,what do you call it,,demographics ? ,,,of cowboy shooters and what the CAS sceen might look like in the future.

I just hope in the future the politicans ain't outlawed our guns. I can work around anything else.

I'm happy to hear that Gary is talking now.
I called him after he got upset and left for a while, then came back. The excuse was he had gone on vacation.
He would not say anything when I asked about the revolvers being made or where it was headed.
I understand that he has family and his job to think about and so I know he can't be wide open with any information.
I have sent at least 5 e-mails and left messages for the past two years about a gun being made. I have received no responce.
Why do you think that Jim Finch quit being a dealer for them?
As I said in another post, the rumor mill has them going into the medical field.

There's another thread on here that says, they are down to 4 employees including Gary. It's beginning to sound like one of those "would the last one to leave, please turn out the lights" deal.

Just got an e-mail from Turnbull on another subject but I note that their Open Range Revolvers are "currently out of stock". Looks like their supply of USFA's has also dried up. Wonder when was the last time USFA shipped a gun to anyone.
Despite assurances to the contrary, I can't help but believe the party is over.

Yes, I would like to know the last date anyone received a special order gun from USFA. I don't recall seeing anything since, a year ago, when people got their dual cylinder special deals.
