Here is my last creation inspired by the set holster and cartridge belt that Mr. Clint EASTWOOD in numerous westerns of the 60s / 70 carried(wore)

A really nice looking rig.  I always thought they were attractive patterns but have seen them made by several manufacturers and no two were made exactly alike.  Not knowing any more than my old eyes can make out from the movie, it has left me wondering if anyone has ever gotten access to the exact pattern?  Who made the originals and were they just a variation of the old walk and draws?

I do not know which(who) made the original, and I would have even loved I to have the eccentric in hand.
Mine is a variation, I used(got) various photos of film to elaborate a size, I once noticed ended, that the decoration sewn is a little wider on mine, I would rectify on the next one(fellow man).
The belt of the original cartridge belt has 5 holes, on the model which I made I put it more, because he(it) is intended for the exhibitions(exposures) for the customers can try him(it).
But for the custom-made commands(orders) he(it) will contain 5.

This is Old Tops tip of the hat to Clint. He obviously took some liberties as he wanted it without bullet loops and it was for a Schofield.

I have seen two versions, both different patterns and both credited to Davis as Eastwood style?  Usually the difference is in the amount of drop at the belt and the amount of waist taper.  Were these considered a later era walk and draw basically using a different belt style with a scallop scallop cut rather than the buscadero slot?

Dave Cox from Cedar Ridge Saddlery informed me Bob Arganbright is making the rigs for Spaghetti Westerns Replicas now. Many of the pics on the SWR web site are still his. The Eastwood style rig is considered the Walk & Draw western. The W&D standard, similar to the rig Steve McQueen wore in the Magnificent Seven, is similar only, it does not have the skirt. McQueens holster was a little different too. How do I know all this? When I ordered my W&D Standard from Cedar Ridge, Dave filled me in. That was October of last year. Still waiting for the rig!

That is a very nice rig you have made.  One of these days I will have  a rig like that made up with two holsters.
