Just because the price was right, my wife Angel Rhodes (NCOWS 3051) purchased this 56-50 1860 3 Band Spencer rifle for me.   ;D  No occasion, just the price was good.  Actually ridiculous.  Price was 2 boxes of 32-40 ammunition, one box of 45-60 ammunition, one box of 41 Colt ammunition (all Ten-X) and $440.  The rifle is new, unfired, and came with 100 rounds of 56-50 Ten-X ammo.  What an angel my Angel is!

Russ, when I get back from Las Vegas next week (I'll be here on the 23rd), you should come out and help me shoot the darn thing.  Guess I need to buy some reloading dies for it!    :o

Congratulations, pard. What a blessing she must be and what a lucky man you are, indeed.

You got a keeper (the wife and the rifle)!

If you need a sling for that thar battle rifle, this is where I got mine:  http://www.jarnaginco.com/catframe.html

(Look under "Federal Accoutrements", then under "carbine & musket slings".

Outstanding!  You are a lucky man, O-Tom!  I like Spencers, and the full-length version a LOT!

Talk about lucky:  OK Tom is at the SHOT show right now in Las Vegas.  I asked him if he'd take some pictures and do a short write up for the Shootist regarding any new products for WAS shooters.  Sounds like he will.
