Hey all I was cleaning some of the external "oil" from my New Uberti Stamped and I noticed the firing pin had a slight bit of play in it. Is this normal? I have a two year warranty so no big deal.

I have three Uberti's and I just checked all three of them and the pin moves in all three of them. So I would say it is normal

Thx BitterWheat,

I talked to an old shooter and he said that tolerance was buit in.

There needs to be play in the firing pin, but not too much play. I'm sure yours is within the allowed tolerance unless you get unreliable ignition.

There is a slight amount of play in both my Colt Lightning and my old Winchester and they both shoot just fine.  I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it.

A little play is always good for a man, and sometimes a guns hammer.

That's the way Uberti builds them. Completely normal. No cause for alarm.   ;D
