Hello All!

New to this forum. I stumbled across it looking for an answer to a problem with my Cimarron Model P.
I had just finished givin it a good cleaning, as there was a lot of lead build in the barrel, and was messing with the base pin and bushing....bushing did not wanna seat correctly as I would spin cylinder it would seem to hang. Anyways I got it be somewhat smooth and was thumbing the hammer while holding the trigger when the whole thing seem to seize on me.

I gathered some courage and disassembled and found that the bolt was broken....bolt spring is good.

Anybody know what might have caused this....me? ....defected part? There is a pic on this forum of a broken bolt...mine broke a lil before his break (just to the left about half way).  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/Driftwood_Johnson/broken%20parts/brokenspringandbolt.jpg

Any help would be appreciated!  ....before I do something dumb again    :(
Thanks !

Anything mechanical can fail.  That's why they sell replacement parts for your car.  Buy a new bolt, install it PROPERLY, and have fun.

Thank ya Pettifogger!

I just didn't know if it was me or just mechanical failure. I owned and shot a decent amount of semi-autos but this is my first revolver. Put about 300 rnds thru it half have been custom reloads. I love this gun!
