Hey guys!
I ran into a problem trying to remove the forearm barrel band. I've removed the forearm screw and tried pressing in on the forearm spring to slide the barrel band off, but no can do.
Am I missing something? ???
Any ideas how to free the band?
Let me know, and as always...Thanks!!

These band offtern  need to be taped off using a hard wood block wyle the retaining spring is being compressed

I had a similar problem with the Spencer Carbine I restored. I gave the band a good heavy spray of WD-40 and let it soak in for a while and then went back with a rubber mallet and gave the band a few light taps and it came right off.  There was thick crudd that had become almost like a glue keeping the band attached to the bbarrel, but the WD-40 loosened it all up for me.
