Well,  I went and broke the left side external hammer on my Rossi Overland coach gun (long story, didn't realize they were cast).

Anyone have a spare or a line on where I can find one?  Numrich is out of stock on both left and right.

Thanks,
Harvey

Harvey, it could be repaired if you can find a person that is familiar with working with cast steel. You need to prepare the part with a v groove for the weld, preheat the metal and then weld it up and file and shape back to original. Then duplicate finish with cold blue or even colored laquer. I forgot where you live, but you might try to get in touch with Rowdy Yates, from Orange or maybe even Owen Money from Phelan.
Nice shooting with you BTW and next time, pack some warmer weather with you when you come.  ;D

you might try Howdy suggestion ...It will have to normalized ( I believe is the term )
or it will break aging right next to the weld...

I'd try this as well,  trace it as well & close as you can, and send to photo to Dixie Gun Works.
They have a large selection of old & new lost wax hammers.
You will have to do some fitting maybe around the tumbler hole..
A matching pair L&R might do you even better.
when planets align...do the deal !
