Well, I have received a telegram from the town marshal over there saying they found a skillet during the investigation.

They sent a picture and it is exactly the same one that I have here in the office found in the alley between the Longbranch and the Postoffice.

Annie, I'm lookin' out for you. The Marshal don't cook so he wouldn't know cast iron from plastic.
I know I took a chance, but I sneaked into the evidence room last night and took the REAL skillet that the Cleveland Marshal brought here that was used in the 'ka-bonging', and replaced it with the "wok"..

Here is your skillet..

I hid it for you under the well lid out by that old tree next to the Wilber barn.
Deputy Rio is comin' for supper, so  I'll keep him and the Marshal busy doing something right after supper tonight. The coast will be clear.  Go get it then.

That WASN'T your skillet.
Marshal come in the house the other evenin' a hollerin about his skillet,
Well hells fire, I didn't know what he was talkin' about..
When he finally calmed down, he told me that he had taken his own skillet with him when I chased him out of town.
Said he sneaked back in the house to get him some grub. Didn't know how long he would have to be away.
Got one of his old camp skillets and took with him, and put it in the Marshal's office when he got back.
Dang it... That's what I get for trying to help.
Oh well.........
