Howdy!  I just picked up my second Rodeo II and wanted to try replacing some springs to get the action a little smoother and lighter.  What do you guys recommend?  I want to try this first and compare them to a couple of Long Hunter SA's I have on order (if they ever come in  :-\)

Appreciate any advice.  Here's a pic of them.  The top one has been "flitz'd" (not by me) and I really like how it looks.

Also, here's my SA that I've been shooting until my others come in  ;D

FINE looking shootin' irons ! None better.

Longhunter uses Lee Gunslinger springs.  The other to consider would be a set of Wolff springs.

Argolfer,
I have had great success with the Wolff reduced power main spring and the Heinie trigger/bolt wire spring.  I get them both from Brownell's.

Hi Argolfer,
Indeed, great looking guns..   I have two USFA guns.  An 4 3/4 SA and a Rodeo II with a 45 ACP spare cylinder.  This is not a spring related answer, more a question.. What is Flitz'd?  I LIKE!!

Thank-you Gents!!!

I ordered a couple sets of Wolff springs (main spring and trigger/bolt wire spring) and will give them a try.  I do have a Heinie trigger/bolt wire spring that I may stick in one of the Rodeo's just to feel the difference.

I did find out that Jim (Longhunter), who has his shop in my hometown  :), uses Lee springs.  Once my SA's come in with his magic done to them, I'll be able to do some comparisons.

Cpl... Why, I thought everyone knew what Flitz'd was  ;D.  It's just a word I made up to describe the process of polishing up a gun using Flitz Polishing Compound  8)  I have taken my other Rodeo II completely apart and have begun doing it to it as well.  I'll let you fellas know how it turns out.

Thanks for the Flitz explanation!  Can't wait to see some pics.
