I bought a confederate infantry battle flag last year from some place that makes them fairly historic. It is cotton type material and has tie on strings. It is stitched with polyester looking thread (not sure) but you have to be looking close and knit picking to notice. I'll try and find the place I got it and see what all they offer.

When I'm at a shoot, and I put my rifle in the rack, I always stick a flag in the barrel it makes it easy for me to find my rifle out of all the 73's there and some times there a lot of them..also I'm pretty patriotic I fly a flag all the time ..and some one point out that MY flag had 50 stars  :o so with you guys help I will have that fix very soon..  ;D CC

Del I've searched and kind find where I bought that flag. I'll have to go back through credit card statements I guess to find it.

I remember searching Confederate battle flag or something. I wanted a correct one (or close) for my man cave, not one of these generic 3x5 flags but a square one that was correct.

I do remember they had a ton of different flags to chose from.

The battle flag of The Army of Northern Virgina, not the rectangular Naval Flag, the Reb Navy has more support now than they did then. ;D

That place has a good selection but not the place I got mine. I was looking for something more authentic.

Mine is 48 inch made of cotton (or a cotton blend) but made like the forth bunting issue. It has the staff sleeve instead of grommets and a tie at the top but the border is all white instead of gold on the three other edges. The original ones issued in cotton I believe were all 42 inch.

Typically the infantry used 48 inch, artillery 36 inch, and cavalry 30 inch.

As Del said, what everyone calls a confederate flag today resembles the second navel jack.

Regarding the original post, I don't believe they had stick flags just full size reproductions. You might have someone draw up what you want and see if someone like vistaprint cant print them and you can put them on a stick yourself.
