Major 2

I was up there in Sept. last.... stayed at the Staybridge just accrost the street from Lucas Stadium ( I assume thats where the SB is )
Nothing like major sport event, like the Indy 500 or the game of games, to drive the cost of everything through the roof.
Aside, from the Electronic's Expo in the Convention Ctn. ( I was working on) also across the street from Lucas Stadium, little
was going on. Streets were all but vacant and sidewalks pulled up at night.
Still, the Staybridge was $125 a night, for 8 nights, and they charged $10 parking per day in their own lot !

It's a little different down there now. Crowds were 20,000 to 50,000 a day thru Thursday, and went up to 200,000 the last two nights.

PS- People were already lining up to ride the zip-line at 6 AM this morning.

Archie AND PaYton are very proud of Little Brother, that's for sure.

Cash Creek, I know that prices skyrocketed around here.  All (we Indy residents) heard around here was how much revenue will come in, how many visitors will realize that Indianapolis really doesn't have cattle roaming wild in the pastures downtown (by the cornfields that make up MOST of the City and State) but especially how much extra ca$h will be spent here.  Well, it's true that certain areas of the city now look really nice and have been improved gtreatly, but I'll let ya in on a little secret.

All we got around here was increased gas prices.  Nobody I know made any extra money and our taxes and revenue per person certainly didn't amount to any amount.

Sincerely,

Jeff - one of the new Sports cynics.

But I am glad that Eli's team won, if I had to choose sides.

;)
