I stopped by my local gun shop today to see if the Savage Fox 12 gauge I'd been eyeing for the past month was still there... and it was.  And being that one of my clients paid me yesterday I bought it.

It's a gorgeous SxS!  It's seen some use, but it's been very well maintained.  It's a Model B Series H, 24" barrel (I would have loved a 20" but I really couldn't pass this up), and double trigger.  The action is pretty good - it's a little stiff on opening, but can be closed easy enough.  After a little cleaning and love I think I can slicken it up a bit.  Just for kicks, I tried flicking it open and closed with one hand once I got home (empty - of course  ;) ) I could get it to open (tho it was tough) and it flicked closed easily.

I can't wait to get out to the range and put a few rounds through her!  ;D

I'll post some pics once my camera's battery re-charges. ;)

OK, here are some pics.  BTW - In my initial post (which I corrected) I stated this was a Series N (which I had never heard of... It's a series H. I was trying to read the stamping on the side of the case without my reading glasses and it looked like an 'N'.  once I took these photos I realized I was mistaken - it's a Series H.

Thanks, Cliff. :)

...BTW - you've got some great gun leather options.  I may be hitting you up for an estimate in a few months.  :D
