Howdy Folks! Today I ordered a new rifle for my black powder collection. I could not wait for Christmas Gents~I been doing some thinking about all those various models and types that are available, both rifle and pistol but my heart just seemed to beat a little faster when ever I got to the information on the "Uberti" Winchester model 1876 Centennial.

However, it did not stop there, I still had to figure out what caliber I was going to really choose. I truly have always loved the big bores in smokeless but I had no clue until I found this Cass City place of information. I am very much a novice with the black powder guns but hope to catch up quickly with all the help on this forum and others at Cass City. Thanks again Grizz for the information it was appreciated you betcha.

Well enough jabbering folks, I get down to brass tacks, so you know exactly what my choice was in caliber. I in fact picked out the "Big Fifty" better known as the 50 / 95 caliber with a 28 inch octagon barrel. Cimmaron said it might take 3 weeks or could go as long as 90 days. They are great people to deal with on the phone..............NO MONEY DOWN!!!

Wow, this was a big shock, as Taylors wanted 50% up front for starters. The folks at Cimmaron also stated that when this rifle came in to them and I should change my mind on the matter...........NO PROBLEM and NO HARD FEELINGS.

Howdy Skyrider,

You might check with Buffalo Arms, they stock a lot of Cimarrons and just might have one.  Couldn't hurt.

How much money ya got?  In case they didn't mention it, Cimarron does have one 50-95 in stock, It is in the white and engraved.   ;D

Hope ya don't have to wait too long.

I have an Uberti .50-95 and it is a LOT of fun - congrats!  ;D

Abilene, I really don't want an engraved model in my 1876 lever gun! However, I will check Buffalo Arms and see what they might come up with in their closet ok..........Thanks You ;D

Well done.  A Chapparel in .50-95 came my way in Late September.  It is a pussycat to shoot regardless of how scary the loaded round looks.

Doc O

You'll like that 50-95.
I've got the chappy in 45-60 and the uberti 50-95,
love the 50-95.

Doc just to let you know I did order that Uberti 1876 model in 28 inch octagon barrel and the caliber is 50-95! I'll have a 3 month wait I was told but that is ok, a good thing is worth waiting for you betcha.
