I want to buy a sewing machine, and like everyone else I want to do it as economically as possible, O.K., so I'm cheap. Anyway, do I need two machines? One for heavy stuff like holsters, gunbelts, etc.The other for light stuff like pouches, bandoleers and such, or can one machine fit all situations?
I will no longer respond to the rants of the small minded that want to sling mud rather than discuss in an adult manner.

Unless you are sewing garment leather, a single machine can do for most jobs. I use a Nakajima TSC 441, which is also the base machine for the Ferinand Bull, etc.  With a synchronous motor and a large hand/flywheel, you can get one stitch at a time if you desire.  Most work of our type can be handled with this type machine, which has a reverse lever on it, as well, by changing needles and thread weights.

I agree with what Trailrider has said.  I own a Ferdco Pro-2000 which is a copy of his Juki 441 and you can downsize the thread to size 69 if needed (or as large as 428 thread).
