 rbertalotto,

I would be estremely surprised if I ever got my gun back .... or even heard from Steve again ... I just list it under bad experience and move on with my other shotguns ....
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

This is SOOOO sad.  About 8 or 9 years ago I wanted to do my own "fluff 'n buff" to my 1892 by Rossi and imported by Interarms.  I still cruised the SASS Wire then and I heard about Nate K.J., "the '92 specialist."  I called him a couple times and he spent at least 2 hours patiently explaining in great deal what & how to do and what to look out for.  This was before he had put out his DVD on Winchester '92 fixes.  He wouldn't take any money for the advice but simply asked that if I ever needed the services of a pro to please send it to him.

He certainly was a pard to "ride the river with," but I sure know what health issues can do to ruin a person's state of being.

Best to ya, Steve; a.k.a. Nate!

WaddWatsonE., I'm certainly sorry for your predicament and I hope that at LEAST you get your Baikal returned.  I have an old (pre fall of the Soviet Union in 1988/9) Tula Arsenal TOZ66 Hammer Double which also is "who" makes your Baikal.  I don't care for the fact that it is a Com-Block product, but it is a fine, sturdy piece, and made like a tank but surprisingly dainty more like old-time shotguns.  Many AK47s are made in the same complex.

It would be even sadder had I been depending on this weapon ... but during and since this happened I bought a Cap Coyote Model 87 which is my primary scattergun and a Stoeger Overlander SXS as a backup ... and since I don't have any need to hang a non-firing shotgun up on my wall, I have chosen to write it off as one of those 'learning experiences"... :) :)
