Well I busted my Hand spring and order a couple new ones from VTI. Now how do you put them in. It looks like if I use Fine chisel and spread the crimp that will release it, but I not sure how to re-crimp it.

I bought two replacement hand/spring assemblies from VTI myself a while ago, put the one in myself and the guns works properly now.

I had e-mailed them about it, they said they sold the hand with the spring already pressed into the hand for my 1993 model Cimarron .45 Colt clone.

Maybe you can return it (call them or email them) and have them trade you out parts, then put it in yourself?  VTI parts from my dealings  so far are "Top Shelf".  Much better finnished than the two other hand/springs I've had (original, plus a replacement that didn't last a full day of shooting).

Good Luck!

Don't spread the crimp.  The easiest way I found was to place the hammer over the gap between vise jaws.  While holding the new spring right over the old spring, tap the new spring with a small hammer.  The new one should tap in and push the old one out the other side.

I think Wolf makes a spring hit for the 75 and it has a hand spring.

OK spring is replace I had to spread the crimp a little to tap the new one in then I peen-ed down the ends again. Boy did this spring stiffen up the gun. I worked the gun about a hundred times took the cylinder out and cock the hammer all the way back and with a screwdriver push the hand up and in that made a big difference in the feel of the hammer cocking. Im going to run some round threw it and see how it feels.

This is very easy repair and 3 buck for the spring from VTI just saved me 100 buck at the smith.. Hmmmm you know I can use a new pair of pants ::)
