At our monthy today although it was a bootiful day there was... NO WIND AT ALL, in one stage  by the time I`d let of rd7 out of a 10rd string off  I just could not see the last three steels!! so I contineud shootin and each time there was a nice satiisfying..`Clang` as the boolit found its prey!! Same happend when I moved to the shotgun by the time the 3rd shot went downrange the London Smog had decended again! and again I guessed, and pulled the trigger and again...`Clang` I must say that the `Spirit of the white smoke` must have been on my shoulder to make my aim good and true!!

LIFE IS GOOD!!

Just got back from a shoot and had ta  shoot thru the "fog" several times. WM

I had the same problem yesterday! One of our stages we shoot out of a small building. There was so much smoke everyone thought the building was on fire! I actually set a small fire as well.

All in all a great day!

You have to see the Picketts Hill western shooting range to believe it!  It is a box canyon about 20 yards square and 15 feet deep at the target end, & sloping out at the firing point.  There is only room for one stage.  They set up all props & targets, and Ned Pepper GB announces which targets will be engaged for each stage, and how.

Even if there is a breeze, It doesn't have much effect in clearing out the smoke.  PUK seems to be the only BP-only shooter.  Perhaps my son might join him, but he was at a reserve drill today.

Yer right on the money there pard!! at the moment I am the only Shooter in our posse completly true to the HB!!

Yer `Son `n Heir`(Preacher) shoots BP in his Pistolas and Scattergun at the moment, I reckon once he`s got his loading area sorted at home he will be able to load fer his rifle and then he will also be fully committed to the HB also, the NKOTB (Yer new Grand daughter) has justifiably got centre stage at the moment!! 

Looking forward ta makin smoke with ya in... `November`?

PUK;  I will be there on 20 Nov.  If the creek hasn't backed up into the box canyon, Preacher & I will be there.

THEN we will see how much smoke we can make! I will work on getting Preacher goin on loading the Holy Stuff in his .44 m92.

I saw a shoot off at a cowboy match once. One was a gamer with 38s and pop gun 110Gn loads and the other pilgrim was a BP affondicio shooting warthog loads out of a 44/40 rifle and 45Colt steenking pistolas (shotty was warthog BP as well). The soot lord was looking down on his favoured son and the breeze wafted the smoke towards the gamer, giving the fortunate son an clear look at them bad guys!

There was much weeping and gnashing of teeth in the gamer camp!

A few years ago I was at Camrose Alberta for the Provincial & National shoot.  They have a cut-out of Josie Wale's ferry.  One shot to trigger the mover and then whang away at will, saving the last shot for the time stopper.  I swear I only saw the target for three shots!

But I cleaned the stage!
