Can anyone recommend a good leather worker who can make me a scabbard for my Uberti 1873 rifle? Thanks.

see the leather forum for Dalton,Ned Buckshot,Will Ghormley who made the leather for 3:10 to Yuma or any of the fellers yonder,see also Cochise Leather..

I'll recommend Old West Reproductions (Rick Bachman, who writes here as "Buck Stinson"). There are makers with lower prices, but I doubt that there are many who are more authentic or have better quality. This man knows his stuff.

I happen to have one made up for a 73 carbine. Made this one testing a pattern. Here it is with a pair of saddle pockets in my stack of stuff going to National Guns days show in a couple weeks.

Here's one I just did and is getting donated to the Nebraska State SASS match for the Scholarship Fund. I built it for my 94 Trapper, but have since built a longer one that I like a whole lot more.
