I have been a subscriber off and on since I first learned of them in 2003-2004 and now I got every issue that I have found available.  I have now started searching ebay for the issues that I am missing.

I find that their magazine is a great source of ideas for projects and their patterns are always handy for a starting point.

It sometime runs in cycles but I swear I believe that from time to time you can get virtually every issue ever printed on Ebay.  I havent been paying attention to the going rates though and one would need to be sure the pattern inserts are still there.  They now claim to have an extensive in depth index available to allow one to go directly to anyone of their past articles.  I will probably order it the next time I update my subscription.

I subscribe, but prefer the older articles to the ones in it now. Lots of crafty little things here lately that I dont do.

I did luck out at a local gun show, and a holster maker from Kansas had a big box of them and was selling them for 2.00 bucks each I think. I bought a good stack of them from the 90s that had excellent articles, including some by Will G. I even got the big 10th anniversary issue out of that deal.
I am hoping he is back there again next year.

Yeah, I am only missing 14 issues myself mainly from the first few years.  And it seems as they run in cycles and alot of it has to do with the article submitted to them.  They pay for articles, the ammount depends  on the article itself how many usuable photos and the quality of the writting has to do with the price more than who you are.  I am working on an article myself right now. I may have two articles to submit if I can ever get the pattern for my XD45 right.  THe ammount of detail put into the article and the project will increase the ammount they pay.  I will have to do a plain holster to check the pattern and then turn around and do a tooled or stamped one to increase the value of the article.  Shooting photos at each step and to illistrate any points that need to be claified.  If you look at Will's articles you will see what needs to be included to get a fair amount for the article.

Guys, there are a few from the 90s currently listed on Ebay, they do seem a bit pricey but then it is no more than many mags on the grocery store shelves.  As much as I enjoy bloviating, I could get rich off one wrist ban article!   :D
