I intially bought some of thier soft lead 44s.  I have a rossi with a .434 bore that keyholes at 25 yards with hard cast bullets.  Terribly in accurate.  The soft leads group around 6 inches at 100 yards with 60 yo eyes.

Based on how well they shot I bought a large box of pistol bullets and a box of 45/70 bullets at WR.  Have not worked up a BP 45/70 load yet.

Folks say they are great bullets.

Slim, I'm not going over to that heathen fad powder-just doing some experimenting and field testing of different bullets, powders etc. I  broke my trapdoor a coup[le weeks ago which sent me on a search for replacement parts for an original 1884 trapdoor, which brought me to Al Frasca and his web site full of 45-70 trapdoor parts and info. This in turn led me to a book by Pat and Spencer Wolf about the original loadings for the original trapdoors-which was  either a 405 or 500 grn bullet. The vendor in question here was listed as a source for 405 and 500 grn bullets so I was giving them a try.

Do not let your heart be troubled tho', you are still my bullet guy and I will be sending you an order soon for your offering.

If those don't work out there is a 400 grain BL bullet available. They worked OK in my Trapdoor. Never tried any 500's in it, didn't want to stress the gun and I was only shooting 200 yards anyway.
