What is your niche?

My niche is pretty simple.

I have a need for a new piece of leather work, and I build it.  Whether it is a sheath, holster, belt, coat, vest or moccasins.  Sometimes I use a store-bought pattern, sometimes I wing it.  Then I wear the item to an event, and somebody either orders one, or buys the one I am carrying at the event.

A number of years ago I went to a rendezvous with 4 knives and sheath combos.  Came home with 6 knives and a pistol...but no sheaths.  The missus was a bit pissed, because she considered one of the knife/sheaths hers.  Had to build her a new double knife sheath to make her happy.

With all the talent here and abouts, I doubt I could ever go full-time and make a living.  But I seem to sell just enough to pay for the next chunk of leather for the next project....which reminds me, I got to get busy on them buckskin pants!
