A friend showed me his elkskin shirt that has been hanging in his garage for a long time.  It even had old mud dauber nests in one sleeve!  What can one use to soften this garment up and make it supple again?

1) Clean it with a good stiff bristle brush to get rid of the dry dust and other crap
2) Use a good saddle soap - the liquid in  the pump bottle will work best - follow the directions
3) Once dry work it in your hands to soften
4) If still not soft enough use Lexol Conditioner - apply in a VERY LIGHT coat - it should not take much.

Thank you for your input, Chuck, thats exactly what we needed to know.  Rick, may I suggest you go gargle your bathwater?  Then you'll know how a drain feels!
