Finished a pair of holsters for 1860 Colt Army or conversions of the Army. The one on the left is a cross draw. Shown with my pair of Richards Type IIs. The color is timber brown which I put a coat of evoo on inside and out then sealed outside with Resolene. Trying now to decide what kind of belt to make for them with or without bullet loops.

Had problems getting the pictures on. How do you add them where they can be clicked on and enlarged?

Pappy Hayes very nice job on the holsters. Great color and I like the revolvers. Keep m comming. KT
Cheer up things could be worse, sure enough I cheered up and they got worse.

Good work Pappy all the way around.

As to the photo question, I use Photobucket. Once you make an account (free) you can post pictures there, and post a link to them here on the forum.

With photobucket they give you a number of options; I use the Link Code, which allows you to post clickable thumbnails size images. I made a belt and holster for my grandson's 6th birthday. These are examples of two ways to post a picture.
It took a bit to figure it out. There are others here more qualified to help you, but I thought I would give it a shot. JD

Pappy, you have done a great job of capturing my favorite look in holsters.  I love the look of a long slender pair of Slim Jims and the open tops really allow an enhancement of that stretched looked.  Though I love the look of a well done decorative set of holsters, for me I want a somewhat plain look to go with my post Civil War Comanchero persona.  Looks very good and I think Marshall Will is a bit partial to these type holsters also.

Pappy, I am going to second or third, perhaps fifth the sentiment.  You hit my favorite style dead on.

The way you posted the pictures works and goes from small to large ... the only problem I can see is your large is really small.

Those look good, Pappy. Nice work.

Thanks pards for the good comments. When I get some more leather I plan to make some plain ones and some with some sort of carving. Holsters of these type I found out if not plain were carved more then they were stamped.
