Mares leg rig

howdy Pards
just got asked to make a Mares leg rig for a Rossi 44 mag and was wondering if any of you fine pards
could halp me out with a pattern they look pretty simple just wanna make sure ive got all the parts and
hard ware 16

thanks for the pics ive got those samed pics and am gonna
modify a buscadero rig i just need to find the hook for the ring
posting a pic now so if anyone can help me find this hook ill be greatfull

I can send ya mine to copy from,you will just have to go a bit bigger,i have the cap rifle that was made for the show.it might be fairly close,just send it back when your finished...That bottom loop at the barrel end is like a half jock strap,it hits the forarm end but lets the barrel show.

That looks like an English bridle hook or stud - Tandy/LF used to carry them. Not sure if that's the correct name but any supplier of parts for English saddlery/harness should have them

On mine ya put the barrel in first,then slide it into the metal spring clip.Just put leather on the spring clip to keep from scratching.

I had a customer I've done work for before try to get me to make one of these rigs. I politely turned him down!
They are available from PUMA and Mernickle.
